Baked Apple & Cinnamon

This week I told you about how great apples are for you and because they are in season I have been collecting them. So here is a great quick and easy dessert recipe that you can use apples for.

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 1 Apple
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Greek Yoghurt
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)


  • Heat the oven to 180 degrees and prepare a baking tray
  • Wash the apple and cut it into 4-5 pieces. Remove the stem, core and pips
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on both sides of the apple and lay them on the baking tray
  • Place in the oven for 10 minutes and then turn them over and bake for another 10 minutes
  • Take the apples out when they are golden brown and place the yoghurt on top and drizzle the honey over the yoghurt


  • 134 Kcal 29g Carbs 0g Fat 6g Protein (without honey)
  • 155 Kcal 35g Carbs 0g Fat 6g Protein (with honey)
